Vintage Milk Crate

I found this Bordens 1958 milk delivery crate (in amazing condition) at our favorite Junktique store and had to have it. I don't have a  before pic but it doesn't look very different than it did when I bought it.

I brushed on VERY little white paint with a big paint brush and then rubbed it in/off with a rag. I rubbed my homemade charcoal glaze into the metal only...Which, totally worked out for me, thank goodness. The glaze gave the metal a bit of character that it was missing.

I also took a tiny paintbrush and painted the charcoal glaze in the letter crevasses so they would be more visible.
